Held annually since 1951, The Henry Ford's Old Car Festival brings together hundreds of vintage motor vehicles. At times, automobiles were presented to the museum's collection during the event. In 1962, executive director Donald A. Shelley accepted a 1914 Buick Model B-24. Priced at $950 when new, it was one of the first mid-priced cars with an electric starter.
