The H.E. Boucher Manufacturing Company, founded in 1905, specialized in producing high-grade scale models. It created this model of the Great Lakes freighter Henry Ford II for Henry Ford and the Ford Motor Company. Henry Ford II and its sister ship Benson Ford, named for Henry Ford's eldest grandsons, were the most modern ore carriers on the Great Lakes when they were built.
